“Green Dot” Becomes the Sole Shareholder of JSC “EBS”
The company “Green Dot,” a Russian internet provider with a presence in 16 cities across Russia, becomes the 100% shareholder of JSC “EBS” after a purchase agreement with MTS.
The presence of a specialized business at “Green Dot” (home unlimited internet and digital television) was one of the decisive factors in the decision to sell “EBS.” The company maintains its contract with “VimpelCom,” and in its interests, aims to improve the contractor's business processes in both the short-term and long-term perspectives.
According to Sergey Kostelyants, the CEO and owner of “Green Dot,” the immediate plans for JSC “EBS” include changing the working relationship with “VimpelCom,” specifically transitioning from a “client-contractor” model to a win-win partnership scheme. Additionally, there are plans to modify several areas of operation and continue developing IT outsourcing for infrastructure.
It is worth noting that the collaboration between JSC “EBS” and “VimpelCom” began in 2012 under a subcontracting agreement, where the company took on the responsibilities for the operation and connection to the broadband network in the Volga and Far Eastern regions. In February 2013, a contract was signed with VimpelCom to provide services across the remaining territory of Russia, including Moscow.
